Blizzard Ski and Snowboard School has been giving quality Ski Instruction since 1963.
Our goal is for the student to get the best result from our highly trained staff. As one of the oldest professionally organized schools in Michigan, we're proud to continue our time-honored tradition of teaching skiing and snowboarding to everyone, at all levels. Our programs provide lessons for Kids and Adults on Saturdays. In order to provide the best instruction, we require our instructors to obtain and maintain a national certification by the Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA) and / or American Association of Snowboard Instructors (AASI). We currently have; 16 Level III Instructors, 15 Level II Instructors, 29 Level I Instructors, and 5 National Ski Patrollers.
Their dedication to modern ski and snowboard teaching has earned Blizzard recognition as a Gold Merit School. Our philosophy is : Ski and Snowboard safely, correctly, and for lifelong enjoyment. The Blizzard Ski and Snowboard School staff is an exceptionally well-trained group of professionals, with the highest percentage of instructors certified to teach at advanced and expert levels. We conduct weekly instructor training clinics during the season and encourage our instructors to participate in outside education events as well. Since skiing and snowboarding is part technique and part understanding, our instructors also study the psychology of how children and adults learn. Once incorporated into the lessons, this approach makes skiing and snowboarding easier and more fun to learn
